For little over five years I'm working for the same company, many people changed technologies, projects, mentors etc. In some cases people who are really excellent programmers code less and less. They are now some coder/manager hybrid, a bridge between client and the team. And I understand the need for that position, we need someone to explain technical stuff to a (probably) nontechnical client. But that got the thinking, do you find it weird that the better coder you became, you spent less time coding, and more time in the meetings?
