Experienced with C, C++, Java. Some experience with PHP and JavaScript, but mostly out of necessity.

I want to learn Rust as a replacement for C/C++, because I feel that the programming community at large has accumulated enough knowledge to help protect new programmers (like me) against the types of mistakes that were also made twenty years ago.

Making a strategy game in C++ called Epicinium where your impact on the environment matters.
In my spare time I try to convince my co-creator (and myself) to port the entire to Rust.
