3 Effective Ways to Restart Your Android Device

From time to time, it’s good to restart your Android device. Most of us never turn our devices off. They are running 24/7 since we buy them till the moment we decide to change. However, to give our Android device a bit of rest, refresh it, and fix the issue with crashing apps, restarting the device is the right solution.

Depending on the reason why you need to restart your device, there are several options. If your phone works regularly and you just want to solve some minor issues, then you can use your phone’s power button. Also, you can turn your device off and on manually. If you cannot use the power button and your phone is heavily bugged, there is an option to hard reset it or take the battery of your device out. Let’s go step by step.

3 Effective Ways to Restart Your Android Device

1. Power Button Restart

To use the regular rebooting method, press your phone’s power button and hold it for a couple of seconds. On your screen will appear several options, and one of them is “Reboot” or “Restart.” Tap on this option, and your phone will be automatically restarted. In case you want to turn it manually off and on, hold your power button and choose the option “Power off,” and your phone will switch off. After few minutes, you can turn it back on.

If your power button does not work, follow this guide to reset your Android.

2. Hard Reset

In case your Android device became completely unresponsive, you can “force” restart it. Hold your power button for approximately 20 seconds, and your phone should switch off. Usually, when it’s rebooted this way, after few seconds, it will turn on itself.

3. Remove The Battery

Another way to restart your device is to open it physically and remove the battery. However, this is possible only on the older models of Android phones since new phones have a built-in battery that cannot be removed.

If you can remove it, do it, leave it for few minutes out, and put it back into your Android phone. After this, you can turn on your device regularly.

Hopefully, this article was helpful and you’ve restarted your device successfully!
