Thank you! And you're right about the less complex syntax!

I've briefly looked at C++ but I didn't start with it because I was told it's rarely used anymore. I would've 100% started off with it if I had a CS education though and am still curious to look into it to understand the the core of programming!

Far from that. C++ is used a lot in applications where performance and memory efficiency are important. It's pretty much a powerhouse of the core technologies on the internet like web servers, browsers and others. If you like lower-level development definitely give it a try, you'll learn a lot (or you can try Rust which is also a very fine language for system development).

This is really good to know. So it's in the plans to self-teach myself some Computer Science fundamentals and C++ is def on the curriculum. I'm excited to learn about it because I'm interested in performance and memory efficiency so that would be cool.
