It is definitely at the very top! I like how it takes a ton of weight off my mind when working on things. No more manual configuration of the server while jumping back-and-forth to the wiki thinking "did I forget something?" - just run the Ansible script. No more manual "does this work now?" - just run whatever testing suite you use. Yes, tests are "just" automation, too, and by now I get uneasy writing too much code without tests. Every change I make gets more difficult, because I have to think "might it break something?"
My mind was on it because I recently automated the setup of my website with shell scripts, so if anything ever happens to the server, it'd be just a couple of commands to get a new one completely production-ready. The only part I couldn't script was getting the wildcard TLS cert.
