Huawei announced last week that they would not pursue the United States.
This decision follows Washington's decision to return telecom equipment that was seized two years ago. (Suspecting them of export violations)
Just a reminder, the United States accuses Huawei of helping China in its espionage operations, they invited the Europeans to do the same. Huawei denies it.
This case is part of the trade war raging between Trump's homeland and the Middle Kingdom.
Both sides would agree to return to dialogue, we'll see.
Mozilla opened this week in the United States the public tests of its "VPN", Firefox Privacy Network. A kind of VPN that could be integrated into the browser as a paid service.
The service will be charged but will be free for a limited time.
A said a kind of VPN because they didn't use this word, they said that it was an extension which provides a secure, encrypted path to the web to protect your connection and your personal information [...]
The Mozilla Foundation had already shown its interest in finding ways to finance itself in order to become less dependent on the generosity of others (Google, Yahoo, ...), but now they came with concrete solution.
Do not hesitate to share your opinion on it, if you're living in US and tried the extension, if not you can test it for free ^^.
That's a very big amount (for us at least...) Google paid this time !
But that's not totally correct.
In fact, they paid 500M€ the 12/09 to France to close an investigation for tax fraud, a solution that has been agreed by a court in Paris and, of course, by Google (Google Ireland & Google France).
They will also pay 465M€ to settle their dispute with the French tax authorities.
965M€ is nothing for them, but what can we do against those giants ?..
Disney+, the video streaming service by Disney, was supposed to start in US in November.
But strangely enough, this week, a journalist from The Verge living in the Netherlands noticed that he was able to download and test the application (Android & IOS & Apple TV).
He explains in the article that there is not as much content (for the moment) as Netflix, but much more than Apple TV+.
He also tells us that the navigation is quite pleasant.
Personally, I think they're accelerating the rhythm because Apple has cut them off with their Apple TV+ (mentioned below), which should be available from November 1, two weeks before Disney, in about 100 countries. But that's just a guess...
Last week, Apple announced many interesting things about Apple's future. You've probably heard about it.
Like many companies these days, Apple is launching its video streaming platform, Apple TV+.
The service will cost less than $5 per month for the whole family.
It's half the price of basic Netflix subscription and $2 cheaper than Disney+.
For any purchase of iPhone, iPad or Mac, one year of Apple TV+ is offered!
Another platform launched by Apple is dedicated to gaming. May I introduce you Apple Arcade.
It will cost $4.99/month for a family and will start the 19/09.
There will be about a hundred exclusive Apple games.
These games will therefore only be playable on the Apple's devices! Youhouu 😩
This is THE most awaited information by most Apple addicts. _Are you one?
The price starts at $699 for the Standard, $999 for the Pro version and $1099 for the Pro Max. (US price)
For their specifications, I propose you this link which summarizes everything well.
You can already pre-order them here.
The new iPad, will b_e available on 30/09 and will cost $329_.
It is, like the new Apple Watch, the Apple tablet is entirely made of recycled aluminium.
This seventh generation of iPad will be provided with a new OS dedicated to Apple tablets, called iPad OS.
The Apple watch is already available and starts at $399. The iPad is cheaper wt*
With the new feature "Always-on", the watch will no longer turn off, so that you can see the time at any moment.
The watch has an 18-hour autonomy and is fitted with new functionalities, particularly related to health.
That's it ! That was the first episode of the series, hope you enjoyed it!
If you have any suggestions, feel free to tell me in comments.
It took me some time to look at what happened last week, to collect all the informations, to retain the most interesting parts and finally synthesize all in this article. So I hope it wasn't that bad and that you will still want some ^^.
See you next week!
