When I see 'I just glue stuff together' I take objection to 'just'... it trivializes things too much. It's not like a builder 'just' glues bricks together to build a wall, or a welder 'just' glues metal together, there's still the knowledge of how to do that in a way that doesn't immediately collapse and fits the purpose.

Totally agreed! And the work that goes along with learning how to "just" do these things is wildly non-trivial.
