I stumbled on gohugo.io to generate static website using TOML(some say it can be written in golang). I have yet to see any Javascript code written in this template, but I only see Markdown and html files in my project without node_modules. I hope anyone would give a try to this web framework.
All I can say is I agree to use static site for portfolios and just HTML-CSS websites.
