Sharing a site from a local machine

Often you need to show the site to a customer/manager while it is on localhost. Bringing it to the server is long and inconvenient.
The solution can be the ngrok service.

Download and unzip it into the desired folder. For convenience - create an alias:

alias ngrok="~/programs/ngrok/ngrok"
Enter fullscreen mode Exit fullscreen mode

Next, let's say we are running a local project with an address:

localhost:3000
Enter fullscreen mode Exit fullscreen mode

We need to type a command in the terminal:

ngrok http 3000
Enter fullscreen mode Exit fullscreen mode

Getting the link from the console

That's it! Now, while the process is running, you can view the site on the local machine via the given link.
