Redactle: A new Wordle game

If you've ever used Wordle, you'll know it's a great way to get your creative juices flowing. The game casts you as an editor for a magazine filled with word puzzles and secret meanings. You go through a paper and find words that are concealed in the text. However, if you like a challenge, or just want to spend more time pondering about hidden meanings rather than playing Wordle, Redactle is for you!

Redactle is simply a word game in which you must find out the secret redaction code of the other players in order to win. You must predict letters and mix them with word fragments and empty spaces given by other players to do so. If it seems unclear, continue reading for a more in-depth description of the game or watch the video above.

This is a quick-paced party game for 3 to 6 players that lasts around 30 minutes. Each participant gets a card with a secret redaction code (a hidden word) and numerous cards with letter combinations (such as "V + ER"). On your turn, you either pass one of your letter cards to another player or ask them to pass one of theirs to you. Then you expose your redaction code and check whether yours and their response share a word. If there is, you mark it with an X; if there isn't, you guess until you locate it or run out of alternatives. The team that discovers all of their opponent's codes first wins the game!
