An unexpected benefit of short feedback loops

During a recent discussion about the benefits of short feedback loops, as brought about by practices such as TDD, Continuous Integration, Continuous Deployment, or many other practices, somebody brought up a subtle benefit that I found both surprising, and obvious in retrospect.

These practices gamify the software creation process, and more frequent dopamine releases.

This idea apparently originated with Jon Reid.
