Setting up PostgreSQL on Windows

Moving from OSx or Ubuntu to Windows can be frustrating at first - no more brew, no more apt install. These are the steps to get PostgreSQL running on your windows machine fast.

  • Download the installer from the link provided in this page https://www.postgresql.org/download/windows/
  • Execute the installer and let it install it to your machine. You may uncheck Stack Builder from the component list if you don't need it.
  • Once installed, open pgAdmin4 and congratulations you have a working PostgreSQL database!
