In #7 it suffices to hold down the Alt key instead of Alt+C. This trick works in Visual Studio (Code) as well (Visual Studio 2015 is the actual editor in SSMS).
Regarding #7 as well, if you prefer keyboard only, Alt + Shift + Arrow Up/Down will insert a cursor on each line. After inserting cursors on each line, you can then continue with Alt + Shift + Arrow Left/Right to select a block of text.
