It looks like your child has a catheter or Broviac. I had one of those for many years (several years of childhood cancer) I'm in my 30s now so obviously I made it.
Children are resilient, I was, and many of my childhood friends were too. If you're there with your child and remind them they are not alone, then the pain (medicine, therapy, treatment etc) is temporary but the feeling of "I'm safe" will stay with them.
It wasn't the toys, or other things that the hospital used to help get me through my treatments that I remember, it was my family staying beside me, taking shifts throughout it all.
My thoughts are with you and your family. Godspeed!
Just a coder and a dad. I love my family and I love to code!!!! started coding at 11, so I have 25 years under my belt. Still love learning about it every day. Black lives matter!
This is beautiful and I appreciate those words do wisdoms. It’s the heart that pays forward the most. I’m glad you made it and your here to share your words. Thank you so much.
