Try darker background shades for those panels. And lighten the body background.
Remove the image in the Header. It duplicates the one you have in the top panel.
Move navigation items to right (to the point where the content ends on the right)
Align the text of the first panel to the right side.
Add some different colors to the links to give some accents.
Consider using white text color. It would look great if you do #1.
Make sure you use white social media icons.
Add images for blog posts already on the main page.
Use lazy loading for images once you open blog posts.
Put posting date and tags under the title and give proper padding for them. *Use some bright green or blue to load more button background.
