As we are approaching the end of February, I would like to give a big shout out to the awesome Strapi community! Even if we are still working on the latest features, we've never seen as much activity as in the last few weeks. Every week, a new Meetup group is created around the world. Say hello to Toronto, Paris, San Francisco, and London. We are also almost 8k members on the public Slack which is incredible!
In 2020, we decided to give everyone the ability to start a meetup in any city in the world where there are members of the Strapi community.

We were also glad to attend and speak at the GraphQL #9 Meetup in San Francisco. Pierre Burgy (CEO) gave a great talk about how to deliver faster with GraphQL and Strapi.

The next feature that will be released, at the end of February, is the Single Types. We are a week behind our initial estimation release date. As you might know, the new content structure comes with the UID field. Very often, this kind of field is used to create an SEO-friendly URL to retrieve content from the frontend application. We are very excited to provide a proper way to build URLs that match the SEO needs.
The API token functionality, which will replace the current Users & Permissions plugin to get access in a secure way to the data, is also ready to be developed. You can find more details about this feature in our previous Monthly Update, even if we will prioritize the development of the Administrators with permissions (RBAC) feature first.
About the Media Library; we've started to develop what will be a major milestone for the product. We went the extra mile to include as many functionalities as we could. Often the assets management is a real pain, in a world where we share images, screenshots or videos all the time. It's important for us to release a library that will fit your needs. We received a lot of feedback and insight that we read carefully. We are confident enough that the Media Library will help Strapi corner the CMS market with an awesome assets management system!
We will share more details about the built-in features that will come with the media library such as the responsive-friendly generated images or the video previews in the feature release blog post.
Last but not least, we've recently been receiving feedback for the development of the Administrators with permissions feature (RBAC). If you could take 3 minutes of your time to respond to the following survey, it will help us immensely in designing a new feature tailor-made for you!
Conclusion
As you can see, there are a lot of features in the pipeline! That's the reason why we are so excited about 2020. Every day, more and more users are using Strapi, giving us positive comments but also constructive criticism. Ultimately, it's the input of the community that makes Strapi as good as it can possibly be.
