Thanks for this, I work at a consultancy and DX is something I think about often but rarely get the time to approach. I think starting with are the developers getting what they need and looking for efficiencies in meeting their needs are great starting points.
I'm trying to approach DX as an act of service, a way one engineer can serve the others by giving others a good onboarding experience for each new project. Thoughts?
I think that's a great way to start, but I'm always careful to remind engineers that they may not be the target audience or end user of the product or project, even if that end user is a developer. This may not be an issue for you!
