Git is independent of your ide/compiler/file type/language/etc
I will link some of my resources in the morning when I have them at hand, if no one else has replied by then. In the meantime googling “git for beginners” and other searches will give you a lot of guides, such as product.hubspot.com/blog/git-and-g..., which seems fine.
