Activating Windows 10 is a right pain - even though I have a product key, if I make a Hardware change, I have to redo a confirmation. All those numbers :(

Recently I had to do it by phone because "our servers are currently offline". That took half an hour.

Other than that, and the restrictive UI settings (which can be a blessing or a curse), it's actually not a bad experience these days to use Windows 10. It's almost as nice as using a Macintosh, which has taken me about 3 years to get used to Thinking Different, and with Catalina is becoming more like Microsoft ("your program wants to do something normal that it always used to do, like access the Desktop. Allow?")

I miss KDE at work, I guess. You set it up, and then it gets out of your way so you can get stuff done. It's also helpful with KIO for remote editing, and Kicker which I find more useful than Spotlight/Siri or Cortana. You just can't talk to it.
