Let's build an Ecommerce App React/Node (TypeScript)

Hi guys,

I'm writing this blog post out so that I can keep myself motivated (and well documented) while building a side project. I am going to go with an Ecommerce app with React/Node .

Till now, I've had the chance to learn a lot of different languages(React, Angular, Nodejs, Flask). While I can't say that I've had the knowledge of following the best practices at that time, considering that I barely knew the languages, I believe that I should follow certain principles while starting any project.

Few things I'm going to incorporate into this project for the first time are:

  • TypeScript
  • Styled Components/CSS Modules
  • TDD
  • Functional Programming

This list would grow over the course of the project.

Stay tuned for the series.

Nice project idea! Should help learn a lot, looking forward to the rest of the series and hope to learn enough to create my own ecommerce app!

I'm looking forward to seeing the project and it's great to be able to learn new tutorials that can add more to the knowledge, thanks for the initiative!
Out of curiosity, will you use CRA or NextJs?

Going with CRA. There are already tutorials out there for NextJs tbh plus I wanted to do something from scratch.
