It's - not - so easy

Damnjan Jovanovic in his article reacted to five "easy for you announcements" that developers usually receive. I thought that my reply would be too...

Sandor I agree.
Going home every day having ran a marathon in your head then putting a 2yr old to bed isn't easy. Do I deserve what I'm paid, yes I do because I wouldn't be paid like this otherwise.
Can I find a job, no I'm really really picky.
Can I work remotely, yes but with a soundtrack to incy wincy spider and if your happy and you know it.
It's easy to build that thing.. tell that to my 30 or so repo's for which none are prod ready.

🤣

One solution to the home office problem is to share it with another room. I've found that sitting at a desk at home never feels right because it's not exactly the same as the one at work, and I end up not wanting to use it.

Instead, I'm sitting on my sofa in the living room with my feet up on a footrest and my keyboard on my lap, looking across the room at my 4K TV. I could use a wireless keyboard and mouse but I prefer my mechanical keyboard so I run a USB extender cable across the room.

It's not pretty, but it's very comfortable. Even if I do set up a separate home office the layout will be just like this, only smaller.

It's a possible solution, given that you enough rooms and one that you can separate from the rest - if there are others at home.
