I'm always running to the library too... I like to have a host of "long queue" books on hold so they come in randomly, and fill in with other books with short queues that will come in more promptly. I always have one technical book on me at all times with another waiting for me to finish the first and jump straight in!
I'm currently working through technical/self-improvement book #8 this year (Code by Charles Petzold) - my goal was to read 12 in 2019 and I think I'll hit something closer to 20. :)
I definitely added all of these recommendations to my queue (if they weren't already on there) and look forward to reading them! If I remember, I'll respond back with my thoughts as I get to them. Thanks for the recommendations!
