Trending JavaScript repos of the week πŸ“ˆ

Hey there πŸ‘‹

In this week's #trendingTuesday we'll look at the fastest growing repos in JavaScript - one of DevTo's favourite languages.

Our methodology to compute trending is slightly different than GitHub’s, so in this list you'll stumble upon a few gems that you won't find anywhere else πŸ’Ž

πŸ”Ÿ In the tenth place we have WebChatGPT, a new browser extension that enhances ChatGPT prompts with web results. It’s available on Chrome and Firefox!

Congrats to @hahahahohohe πŸ‘Œ

9️⃣ Next is another ChatGPT-related project…

ChatGPT-wechat-bot is a ChatGPT interface for WeChat that generates LLM chatter with your own OpenAI API key.

Contributions are welcome πŸ‘€

8️⃣ In the eight place is StatiCrypt an easy-to-use tool to keep the content of your public static HTML files safe without the need of any back-end!

Perfect for Netlify or GitHub pages!

7️⃣ Next is Atri, a new web development framework that also works with Python (and very soon with NodeJS)! Atri relies on an object model acting as a single source of truth, so there's no need to write REST APIs!

Brought to you by @atrilabs

6️⃣ Place number six is for motion-canvas!

This TypeScript library uses generators to program vector animations. Its editor lets you sync voice-overs and easily edit certain aspects of the animation to enhance the end result 🎬🎨

5️⃣ In the fifth place, we have another ChatGPT repo πŸ˜…

ChatGPT-API is, as the name suggests, a ChatGPT API client (for Node.js).

It's already used by 10.5k projects 🀯 and has over 90 contributors. Good stuff by @transitive_bs πŸ”₯

4️⃣ Great to see LAION-AI’s Open-Assistant trending again!

OpenAssistant provides access to a chat-based LLM that can undestand tasks, interact with 3rd party systems, and retrieve information dynamically.

The project is accepting contributors πŸ‘€

3️⃣ The third place is for a web3 project! β›“

Lenster is a decentralised, and permissionless social media app built on top of @LensProtocol
🌿

Its community is growing - let's hope they open good-first-issues soon! Brought to you by @lensterxyz

2️⃣ Place #2 is for core-js, the most popular and comprehensive polyfill library for the JS standard library.

With over 9 billion downloads, it allows you to use the latest ECMAScript features and proposals, and web platform features.

By @zloirock πŸ‘Œ

1️⃣ The top place is for AUTOMATIC1111/stable-diffusion-webui, a browser interface based on Gradio library for Stable Diffusion (a model for text-to-image generation).

It includes features like outpainting, inpainting, color sketch, and many, MANY others.

It has 336 contributors and counting πŸ†
