Professional development team leader and enabler. I love empowering teams to build amazing software and helping them strive constantly for faster feedback and higher quality.
Nice read. I've only in the last 2 years been starting to give back to the community through OSS and I find it quite rewarding.
Also as someone who is responsible for hiring devs frequently it a great indicator of the candidate's aptitude and attitude if they have a quality github profile. I've seen plenty though, proudly displayed on a CV that when you click on shows nothing more than a few projects forked years ago and not changed.
My advice would be, build a profile and use it to promote yourself, but don't promote yourself with an empty one.
