My preferences are for very rhythmic music: R'n'R, Boogie, surf, ... from the 50-60's, italo disco from 80's, sometimes "regional" genres (e.g., country, pizzica), Italian pop like Ricchi e Poveri, Pupo and Rondò Veneziano, liscio (kind of Italian variation on ballroom music) even some modern dance genres (e.g., techno).
