Background
I am new to the DEV community, although I read DEV blogs, this is my first article here, I am Akuagwu Philemon, I am a full-stack developer. I am a passionate developer, with over 3 years of experience. I participated in Hacktoberfest 2019 and Hacktoberfest 2020 because I find it interesting and fun, dedicating a whole month to celebrate open-source and contributing to codes of company and individuals of a different nationality is really fun.
Progress
I have completed my hacktoberfest challenge and the process has been really interesting, I made 5 Prs to 3 repositories
Contributions
I contributed to 3 repositories but I am most proud of 1 which is
https://github.com/Presto412/CryptoFS, I enjoyed contributing to this repo because it was the most interesting, I was tasked to implement AWS S3 bucket as a cloud storage solution, In a way that we hash the file and simply link similar files, to avoid uploading similar files twice.
Reflections
I really enjoyed the whole Hacktoberfest experience, and I will surely do it again next year, I will also try to contribute to more open-source repos at my leisure
