I've been working to move my WordPress site over to Gatsby for two reasons.
Speed in delivery to users.
Just for the fun of it to learn Gatsby.
So right now I'm maintaining two versions of the same site which is a drag until I finish porting everything over, but not once has it ever stopped being fun to just blog stuff.
I started for my own benefit as a development always accessible notebook for myself as I learned things and it just kept growing from there.
I hope that everyone keeps blogging and building, if for no other reason than to own your content and not hand it over to some company or site where you never read the terms and conditions.
The problem is that services come and go, but if you keep your site as your own then it will always be there as long as you want it, and it helps build your brand along the way.

Thanks for the feedback Peter and I completely agree with everything you said. I also wanted a faster website and I wanted to learn Gridsome. I hope developers keep doing what they do best as well. Be curious and keep building.
