Consider buying your meds through ebay, it is a lot cheaper for sure than trying to get them in any other way. Also, for the pump issue I guess you could also search for any diabetic sites since some people may have spare pumps that are for backup sollutions that they can give. All the information for now that diabetes just occured to you will be huge, but soon it will be a piece of cake to just see what you have in front of you and know the carbs-protein-fat of the food/drink in front of you. Last but not least, don't let it change your life since you can live with it as you like (yes I have diabetes for 15 years). Best of luck and be strong

Hello! thank you so much for the suggestions and for the encouragement. It is a lot to take in for a late onset. I'm not on a pump at the moment, using ominipod which for now is the most affordable option for me. I have looked into getting a used medtronic pump that i could loop with but now because of the need for openAPS supported devices, they have gone quite up in price.

Thank you again for your support. It's good to know that i'm not alone and that there are people who have gone through this and have experience and insights to share. I have found an amazing community/support groups and it's of much comfort. Thank you! 💜
