When I was 4 years old, my dad got a Compaq Portable II (Model 3) running MS-DOS. As we lived on a ship, with no other kids my age (except for my sister), I spent a lot of time on the computer. Then I've essentially used all versions of DOS 3-8, and Windows 3.1-Windows 2000 and XP, so I knew so much about computers, I got a job managing a Red Hat server with the LAMP stack, scripting, and essentially learning everything I needed on the job (including C, perl, PHP, etc.)
