It's more like Musical.ly, released in August 2014, which was acquired in November 2017 by a company named ByteDance, who owned an app called TikTok and 'On August 2, 2018, Bytedance consolidated the user accounts of Musical.ly and TikTok, merging the two apps into one and keeping the title TikTok.' Musical.ly was a huge app and the merge meant that users flooded TikTok making it the platform it is today. Why people like it? I have no idea. But that's why there are so many people on it. They can dance and make videos to their favourite songs, just like on Musical.ly, and even make viral dances and videos that make them 'TikTok Famous'

The inventors of TikTok (musical.ly) have done something right, but you don't know what.
I'm not sure they themselves know it. Lol
Haha :D you got that right
I find TikTok to be very annoying, but a lot of people love it. I try to just ignore it. :)
