I would argue that Macs, in fact, are not more expensive then the alternatives. With all their flaws (and they’re not few) Macs hold on for years. The hardware and build quality together with their software is so damn good that it’s almost common to see colleagues with 6/7 years old machineS that work as if it’s their first day.
Beyond that, the OS it’s just pure experience. Can’t ignore that one. Good user experience means happy userS. Happy users are productive and creative.
And lastly, there’s the sheer joy of owning a piece of technology. Some of us enjoy their mornings better when they open a piece of hardware they love. To some it would mean bullshit. In my case, it actually makes a difference. That’s not something to overlook IMHO.
