IoTeX launches developers’ portal to attract, support MachineFi dApp builders

IoTeX has launched its Developers' Portal with various objectives, the primary being to attract Web3 tech talent ahead of the imminent release of W3bstream, the world's most technologically-advanced data oracle, which has the potential to unleash a significantly large array of MachineFi-focused dApps.

"The IoTeX Developers' Portal is a website where developers can all learn how to build MachineFi applications," said Simone Romano, IoTeX's Head of Dev Community Growth. "Experienced developers, IoT experts, and members of the IoTeX development core team will be able to create educational content, share tips, and contribute to the platform.”

The portal's launch follows a series of significantly important milestones for the top IoT blockchain project. According to a Messari research report, IoTeX leads the way in the Web3
Internet of Things industry, showing more potential than VeChain, Helium, and IOTA.

Earlier this year, IoTeX unveiled a massive $100 million Sustainable Ecosystem Fund to support MachineFi-focused projects and developers and to ensure their success in Web3.

The IoTeX Developers Portal, which is under ongoing development, has Web3 blogs, tutorials, tools, and documents, making it easy for any developer to start building their own MachineFi or any other dApp quickly and easily.

Learning about IoTeX and MachineFi
The IoTeX Academy is at the core of the portal, said Romano. "There, developers will find Quick Starts, Tutorials, and Guides. These are aimed at helping developers learn how to use IoTeX products, web3, MachineFi development, and become an important pillar of the burgeoning machine economy."

Quick Starts enable developers to get started quickly and experiment. Tutorials take you on a step-by-step path through the solution of specific problems, while Guides give you the big picture, focusing on content with a broader educational scope.

Developers can also register and start contributing to the portal with ideas, projects, and articles and access to test tokens to build their own Web3 dApps.

Job opportunities and competitions
“Shortly, developers will be able to create their public profile and find job opportunities in the blockchain space,” Romano said. “Developers will also have the opportunity to participate in challenges and mini hackathons, and have the opportunity to win prizes. These opportunities will be announced in the portal periodically.”

"The idea is to have a common place for all the different types of users, beginners and experts alike, to nurture the community and grow within it," said Romano. "When working on new technologies, such as MachineFi it is critical to provide developers tutorials that are hardware- and data-oriented and high-level guides to help them understand the architecture of typical MachineFi use cases."

By the end of this year, several unique opportunities will be available via the portal, including Halo Grants. Developers will be provided the chance to submit applications for several Web3 dApp categories, including MachineFi, DeFi, NFT & Games, and several others.

Several MachineFi projects have been born from the Halo Grants program and today show excellent growth potential, including Elumicate, EnviroBLOQ, Ahoy, and MOTODB.

Starcrazy, an exciting and very unique NFT play-to-earn game, and XP.Network, a groundbreaking multi-chain NFT bridge, are among the most prominent Halo Grant recipients in the NFT & Gaming category. IoTeX has also granted support to many other blockchain projects that today form its fast-growing ecosystem.

MachineFi is a new asset category that has attracted the attention of several top corporations and investors interested in adopting Web3, including Samsung Next, Draper Dragon, Xoogler, Escape Velocity, IOSG, Crypto.com, and many more.

IoTeX, created by award-winning scientists
The IoTeX platform is open-source and was architected by award-winning cryptographers and research scientists that currently lead premier industry consortiums and standardization bodies. Its infrastructure features an EVM-compatible blockchain for smart contracts, APIs, cross-chain bridge, multi-chain wallet, and software development kits (SDKs). It also includes a crowdfunding platform, a scalable machine orchestration protocol for verifiable, real-time IoT data – called W3bstream – and a portal that handles device authentication and makes their resources available for subscription in a dApp marketplace.

Developers, startups, and investors are involved in this new and exciting Web3 MachineFi opportunity because of its potential to benefit millions of people by enabling them to regain control of their data, their smart devices, and machines and benefit directly from the value they generate. Developers have a unique opportunity to help shape this Web3 reward and machine economy by building groundbreaking dApps with IoTeX's support.
