Discussion on: How do you work across different timezones

I work from Spain for a San Francisco company, also 9h difference. And I have worked for an Argentinian company in the past (6h diff).

TL;DR: it's hard

I leave you some tips derived from my experiences:

• start late, overseas meetings as last task (from Europe p.o.v.)
• prioritize async communication
• have work buffer to avoid blocks
• plan and divide work optimizing for team splits
• have flexible schedule so people can intermingle work and non-work life
• be very transparent about it during hiring

None of this is very surprising, but I leave this here just in case it helps you out anyone else.
