How do you approach deciding the front-end tech-stack for a new project? What are the most important factors that may influence the decision? (Examples: team-knowledge, tech-maturity, pragmatism vs. CV, …)
I specialise as a React developer. My front end stack is often Gatsby, Prismic & Netlify for marketing sites and Create React App for dashboards, more applicationy front ends. I'm pretty loose though and have used Vue, NG and jQuery (albeit as little as possible). In terms of what influences my decision: I tend to scout for tools on blogs / forums such as dev.to and look at other people's successes and shortcomings. I.e. why to use next over Gatsby and then try for myself with small projects to decide for myself. No one tool is wrong, it's about what works for you and remaining open to try new tools.
