The startup exited for $150M, and had I dropped out of college a few months earlier I would have been a 21-year-old millionaire. Such were the days of the dot-com boom. The contacts I made during that first job, however, shaped the rest of my career for the better. It's where I found both my engineering mentor and communication mentor, and without them, I wouldn't be where I am today.
