Tomorrow, the 25th of September, marks 23 years that I’ve been alive on this planet.

This past year has been eventful, to say the least. I’ve graduated university, began my full-time professional career doing the thing I love (and dreamt about doing since I was a young boy), and met some truly unforgettable and wonderful people.

Checkpoints like this are a great time for reflection and a chance to slow down and ask yourself how you got where you are, and which direction you would like to go. I feel very lucky to have the opportunity to live in a great city such as London, to do what I love and be paid for it, to have the opportunity to meet interesting people every day, and to be alive in a year where so many tragedies have occured, both in my city and around the world.

There’s also so much for me to learn, and so much of the world for me to see. I’m very much looking forward to what the next year has in store for me, and am curious to what the contents of my next check-in post, around 365 days from now, will contain.
