I'm Mixa (I don't even think my family knows me by my real name) and I've been in Software Industry for ... well, I've been earning from it for the last 12+ years or so, whereas I've been coding since I was six (really!).
What's funny to mention about me is that up until maybe 5-6 years ago, I think I literally had 0 interests to ANYTHING except the programming. And I was actually proud of that! And yet, for whatever reason, people always found me as an extreme extrovert and could never grasp a fact that I'm a "computer guy".
Anyway, for the last couple of years, I've been immersing myself in the Software Architecture role, primarily charged with leading a team of engineers who were tasked with a project of moving a 15-year-legacy platform to a "New Architecture". Been playing with that up until now, but I've also picked some cool tools of the trade in the process and I've slowly started moving more towards People Management and a bit less towards the coding itself. And it's been one hell of a journey so far!
Now what brought me here? Well, funny as it seems, I actually knew about dev.to for a looong time, but I tried avoiding getting hooked to it. Well, it was yesterday that a friend of mine mentioned it to me and told me to republish some article here and ... well, here I am, getting myself hooked to the exact thing I tried staying away from :)
Anyway, glad to be here!
