100% agree with you. From my QA experience, I have been asked a lot about coding, dsa, arrays, interfaces.. Blah blah. However, when I joined the company, it was more about manual testing the web/mobile application and updating some weird testing tools that they used.
Why not focus on core competencies and judge the candidate based on what your product/project has to offer. Stop unnecessary coding test, just because its a trend and every company is doing it!
