I've done mostly opposites to what you have suggested here.
I started with RN before React, and I hadn't used JS before in my life.
I did have a basic knowledge in C, Python, HTML and CSS.
Didn't tried to sit and learn react and JS in one go,
Mostly I followed the official documents and whenever I got stuck on something, searched the Internet for solutions and that is how I learned RN and React.
