JS Challenge (x20)

Here are some JS challenges I once saw on Instagram:

  • Stop Watch
  • Clock
  • Calculator
  • Drum Kit
  • Color Game
  • Hangman Game
  • Tic Tac Toe
  • Pong Game
  • Pairs Game
  • Maze Game
  • Simon Game
  • Platformer Game
  • Tip Calculator
  • Palindrome Checker
  • To-Do List
  • Calendar timeline
  • Quiz App
  • Weather App
  • Scissor Game
  • Tax Calculator

I already made and hosted a stopwatch (stopwatch-a1.web.app), but today I discovered this website so I think it would be cool to meet nice people here and make some posts about my progress. So this is my first post.

Join the challenge no matter where I am now. A week for each app is enough I think.

In defense of the modern web

I expect I'll annoy everyone with this post: the anti-JavaScript crusaders, justly aghast at how much of the stuff we slather onto modern websites; the people arguing the web is a broken platform for interactive applications anyway and we should start over;

React users; the old guard with their artisanal JS and hand authored HTML; and Tom MacWright, someone I've admired from afar since I first became aware of his work on Mapbox many years ago. But I guess that's the price of having opinions.
