What does the unicorn icon do in dev.to posts? [Closed]

I am a fifteen-year-old christian Homeschooler that is crazy about coding. I've been coding for about four years now. I also use HTML, CSS, JS, Flask (Python), PHP, SQL, React, P5js, and more!

I'm sorry, this sounds really silly, but I have no idea what in the universe the unicorn icon in Dev posts do.

Can you please explain to me what it does and why it exists?
Thanks for reading.
Sorry for bothering you. πŸ˜‚πŸ˜‚πŸ˜‚

[Solved by a few hundred people. It's an Ultra-like.]

After researching the topic, I came to the following conclusion:
A developer who can pull off a job from A - Z is apparently called a "πŸ¦„ Developer".
So in my opinion, a post that deserves a πŸ¦„ is one that explains a problem perfectly from A to Z without creating new questions.

Very good answer! It would be like the mythical full stack developer. A "πŸ¦„ Developer".

It's serves as a second / alternative like (and counts towards a posts "hotness").

Well it the same as a heart reaction but I use it as "I like the content very much"

That does make sense, but I don't know why it was implemented if it is literally the same as a like.
I've seen that posts are ranked by how many likes they get (hearts). Not by how many unicorns and hearts they get in total.

As far as I know, it's like the heart but funnier. That's it. Sometimes a unicorn it's just a unicorn.

Be sensible if dev.to put a little hint in the ... er, hint (the pop up tooltip if you prefer, when hovering over the Unicorn icon). What better place to put a one liner describing what warrants a unicorn.

I use it as a super-like/unique/rare post button, which sometimes leads to me giving a post a heart and unicorn!
