While I definitely agree with you. If you have to do all of this to keep your sanity, you must work at a sweat shop. Developer opportunities are everywhere. There is no need to work at a sweat shop. I'm a manager and I agree there can be periods where work has to get done but since I was a developer at one point in my career I know when to stop pushing my people. Also you are so right when you said developers can easily lose track of time LOL. My team does it all the time.
