Yes, I did consider adding a section on setting things up via the CLI or with Terraform as I have done in other articles. But I wanted this post to be focused on getting started with AWS when you know very little about it.
I use IAC every day and would always encourage folks to use it when doing things at scale. But, clicking a few buttons when you are just getting started is a reasonable way to get started without having to learn more tooling up front.
