In my experience though, the salaries mentioned are not very close to what I've seen.
I know it depends on the company etc so I guess I should be looking at better companies because I think I know only one developer above 12M yen.
I even know 2 CTOs who do not even get 12M.
In my experience, senior dev people get 8-10M at an established company and 10-12M at a growing company or still pre-IPO.
Mind you, that would be for foreign companies because Japanese companies usually pay lower.
