My first thought regarding misspellings is that while I can still read them, I typically find that they slow me down because they are a bit jarring. Even a distance-1 misspelling will cause me to pause just for a moment and take note of it, which breaks my reading momentum, you know? Same goes for some grammatical errors, anything bad enough that the sentence feels unnatural.
