HNG internship is an annual internship for about 8 weeks with the aim of grooming aspiring developers and designers all over the world to become the best at what they do and provides job opportunities to those who make it to the final stage of the internship. So far, 7 editions has held, this year is the 8th edition of the internship (HNGi8).

I enrolled for the internship this year (2021) as a frontend developer so as strengthen my understanding and get to practice all I know as a frontend developer in a challenging and fast paced environment.

I've been preparing for the internship for about 3 months before the commencement, in preparing, I took a beginner friendly internship (Zuri Internship) where I got introduced to the basics and bedrocks of software development through YouTube videos such as https://youtu.be/dI_CUlVKrFw , https://youtu.be/uHyr8eHhjf0 and https://youtu.be/o_gaijWdcMg.

I also took the bull by the horn by doing a lot of personal study, in the course of my personal study, I learnt a few things on development through https://youtu.be/Qqx_wzMmFeA and how Javascript gives life to web pages, its libraries and frameworks.

Before HNGi8 started, I could consume API's and build responsive webpages. With this knowledge and continuous intensive study, I hope to make it to the final stage of HNGi8 as one of the best and maybe secure a job as a frontend developer.
