Lucius, I am still relatively new to the scene. A student who's pulling out some real world experience, but most of it's coming from school. How abouts would you suggest one would make an functional (yet simple) website as a student? Especially one who still has wobbly-legs.

Hi, joanna. Thanks for your question.
As a student pulling out some real-world experience, I'd recommend you start by building up your LinkedIn profile (this is the hive of recruiters), and since most of your experience is coming from school, it'll be a great thing to add some of them as your accomplishment, work experience (If it passes for one), Honour & Award(if you're given one), A volunteer.
You might even start a publication you can feature on your profile.

Whether or not you'll need a personal website depends on your field. Nevertheless, please check out colorLib's template for a long list of diverse portfolio designs.
For a single page and more summarised, yet efficient website, check out Carrd, it can even serve as a digital business card.

I hope this is helpful. I encourage other readers to give their input too.
Thanks, Joanna. I wish you the very best.
