Hmm. I'm not sure how strong marketing for either framework is but doesn't easier uptake/low learning curve just make frameworks easier for devs to adopt? Maybe by default how many moving parts angularJS had gave react a leg up, and the total revamp of ng2 alienated too many? I also think maybe there's a lock in happening with preferring class based vs functional components... Until you have clear evidence they're paying off bootcamps and tech schools ill remain skeptical...
