Oh, also, one of my big takeaways form art is thinking about breaking things down into simple details and reassembling those pieces. This made anything seem reproducible. Like, I still remember as a kid when I realized that a horizon was just a line across the page. It was a breakthrough.

I feel kind funny when I say β€œIβ€˜m not a designer anymore,” and not because I was a designer for 10 years, but because I approach the structure of my code with the exact same β€œdesign thinking.” There is no one way to code something, and the decisions I make on how to write something, how to name something, how to build a component, can have a huge impact.

Man, that drawing class! I think I would have rather burned my work than erasing it. I love delete my old code though!
