What're your minimum required specs for personal development? What languages are you working with on your pixelbook? I'm in the market for a new personal laptop right now, and can't decide between the "cheapest" base model Macbook Pro, or something comparable in price on the Windows side, with way better specs.

i5, 8GB member, 256 SSD. That gives me a lot of wiggle room, and web doesn't require anything too beefy.
The more important part for me is the OS, keyboard, and screen size.
I prefer keyboards with good travel, <14 screen and Linux.
There really aren't a lot of options there. The only two that really come to mind are the xps 13, and the think pads.
I opted for the pixelbook when it came out because I liked the hardware, and because I was comfortable needing to tinker a little.
